Clitoria ternatea 🌸 is a fast-growing perennial vine 🍃 in the pea family 🌿. Some varieties produce striking white flowers 🌼, while the standard variety has deep blue 🔵 blooms with light yellow markings 💛. The plant thrives in warm, moist, neutral soils 🌱 and is very easy to grow 🏡.
Fruits are flat pods 🍂, 5–7 cm long, containing 6–10 seeds 🌰 each. Young pods are edible 🍽️ and suitable for cooking 🥘. As a legume, the plant fixes nitrogen 🌱, enriching the soil 🌏, and is often used for revegetation and land rehabilitation 🌿.
