It produces small, red or yellow fruits in late summer, which are juicy, sweet-sour, and have a flavor reminiscent of a combination of strawberry and passionfruit 🥭. The thin edible skin tastes slightly like rose petals, but is often removed for a sweeter flavor. The seeds are small, white, and can even be roasted as a coffee substitute ☕.
